President's Day at Lansdown GC on Thursday 12th May 2022.

Hello Captains,

I hope that you enjoyed yourselves and thanks for taking part in our President's Day for Rex Parry. He did a sterling job and I know that everyone received a warm welcome from Rex's wife Sue and his family & friends who provided a welcome drink with cake at the halfway house!

Rex passed on our thanks to Caroline Cornwell, Mark and the Bar & Catering staff at Lansdown GC for looking after us, not forgetting the Greenstaff for their efforts in presenting the course in such good condition. The tricky pin positions didn't seem to stop some great scoring on what was a breezy fresh day. He also thanked the Lansdown GC members for allowing the use of their course.

A special thanks to our starters John Butler and Alan Wheeler who helped ensure that we were all well informed and dispatched on time! Not forgetting Ian Cornwell for his help with the scorecards at the registration desk.

We had 30 teams taking part with all cards returned, so thanks for your part in helping things run smoothly and your participation in the GGC raffle "Supporting Junior Golf" which was greatly appreciated by the Lansdown GC Club Captain, Margaret Ruxton, who received the donation from our captain, Dereck Buttler, on behalf of the GGC Association.
