Coronation Salver at Stinchcombe Hill GC on Wednesday 21st September 2022.

98 Captains turned out to compete for the 2022 Coronation Salver, the last meeting of a busy season!.

The course was presented in excellent condition with quick greens and some difficult pin positions, proving a good test of golf. The competition was played on a bright sunny day with glorious views over the surrounding hillside.

The hospitality was first class and we asked Gail Bidder (The Stinchcombe Hill GC General Manager) to pass on our thanks to The Members for accomodating the event, to Tom & his team of Greenstaff, to The Bar / Catering staff for looking after us throughout the day and to Paul Bush (The Stinchcombe Hill GC Professional).

A big thank you to Shaun Pearce for his help on the Registration Desk and to Captain Dereck/Ian Watkins for helping with the scorecard returns.

Ken Hill, life member and past GGC Captain & President, made a guest appearance at the age of 95! It was great to see him joining us for a bite to eat and having his long awaited photo taken alongside our banners which he helped to purchase with his kind donation.
