The weather was kind to a field of 112 players and by the end of the round most players were in shirt sleeves enjoying a warm sunny afternoon.  The course was in good condition, and the food after excellent.

Thanks must go firstly to Tony Davis for organising the event, but also to the office and catering staff at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex for their part in making the day a success.

Annual General Meeting

 

The AGM and prize giving followed the dinner.  The Chairmanship was passed from 2016 President John Edwards (Lilleybrook) to Derek Godwin (Lansdowne) our 2017 President who chaired the meeting.  2016 Captain Paul Watts (Cotswold Hills) passed the Chain of Office to 2017 Captain Mike Slatter (Tewkesbury Park) who made a short speech encouraging all members of Gloucestershire Golf Captains to get involved and enjoy a good years golf throughout 2017.
