Both teams arrived for the match although the weather was pouring with rain.  Many of the greens on the course were flooded and they arrived to find the "course closed" sign on display.  After green staff attempted to get the top nine holes playable it was decided that as much water was falling from the sky as they were clearing from the ground and the match should be abandoned.
