This match was held on the famous Copt Heath golf course near Solihull, Birmingham.  Designed by Harry Colt the course is renowned as home to the great amateur player Peter McEvoy.
​
The team was welcomed by the Warwickshire Secretary and after a light lunch the teams were announced.
​
Play commenced at 1pm sharp and most games were closely fought.
​
The final result was a good win for GGC's 6½ wins to 1½ losses.
​
Another great day for Captain Mike Slatter.
