Captain's Day  -  Tuesday 18 July 2017  -  Tewkesbury Park Golf Club
Captain Mike Slatter treated the GGCs to a fabulous days golf at his home club, Tewkesbury Park.  The privately owned hotel is currently being refurbished and the McIntosh family are also investing heavily in the golf course, the way the course was presented  was second to none, the greens being especially well prepared and putting superbly.
Mike made sure the day went with a swing and offered competitors their choice of refreshments after the particularly difficult par 4 fourth hole to re-invigorate players for the fifth hole that was for the first nearest the pin prize ... for some it worked!!
Because of the number of players the competition was split into morning and afternoon, prizes allocated accordingly.  The Captain's Trophy going to the pair with best score from both morning and afternoon pairings.

Roger thanked Mike for a great day, great food, superb course and marvelled at how he even managed to get the weather right.
