Gloucestershire Golf Captains
Captain's Day at Gloucester Golf Club.
Captain's day was held on Friday the 12th of July with 100 Members of the association taking part. Luckily the sun shone on the righteous and a magnificent day was had by all.
My thanks go out to everyone who played and supported the day along with our President Trevor Mildren for the starting on the 10th, my good lady wife Maggie for her assistance at the half way house and Gloucester Golf Club.
Major thanks go to Mr Keith Wood the GM of Gloucester. The club pulled out all the stops and turned out a fantastic course and off course hospitality to an exceptional standard. Whilst I was probably the only person not to eat I have been told the carvery was excellent!

To the Players and all concerned thank you on behalf of my wife and I for making this a truly memorable day for us both and we hope you all enjoy the rest of the golfing year, in the way that we enjoyed the day.
Congratulations to everyone in the winner's circle, 1st place being picked up by Robert Payne and John Phillip of Cotswold Hills and a big thanks to Clive Fluck for his stint on the registration desk.
