Gloucestershire Golf Captains
Gloucestershire Golf Captains VS Dorset Golf Captains Thursday 4th July 2019.
The match against Dorset saw us travel to Crane Valley Golf Club in Verwood Dorset. The weather was certainly very kind with wall to wall sunshine.
Our Hosts and Captain Bill Kent ensured we received tremendous hospitality and he and the Dorset Captains were thanked for that.
Following brunch, battle commenced with my partner and myself playing against Capt Bill Kent and the Crane Valley Capt Dominic White. A hard fought game saw us edged out at the end but after some excellent golf was played.
Luckily others failed to follow our lead and the match was concluded with an away victory for the Gloucestershire Captains by a margin of 4 ½ to 3 ½ . Well played Gents.
At the dinner our thanks were made to Crane Valley via their Captain for providing us with an excellent course in very good condition and to the catering staff who provided a splendid meal of Chicken and Strawberry Cheesecake.
