Captain's Day at Cotswold Hills GC on Wednesday 21st July 2021.

141 Captains braved the blistering heat to compete for the 2021 Captain's Cup.

Dennis Barnard and Peter Hatton (past Presidents) and Richard Vass

The eagle eyed ball spotters Peter Richie and Lee Laver at the 3rd and 12th.

Paul Haigh and Patrick Wood who managed the car parking and didn't have to issue any tickets!

The course was in tip-top condition with true greens and challenging pin positions - a good test of golf! (For some .. see results below!).

Captain Sam Collins was in attendance throughout the day and ensured that plenty of cool water was distributed around the course. He also kindly gave everyone a snack/chocolate bar and complimentary drink as well as putting up additional prizes for Nearest The Pins and Longest Drive (see results)

Bert Chinn, a GGC member for 35 years, unfortunately could not join us but wished everyone a great day and donated 4 bottles of good wine to be won in a scorecard draw (see results). Thanks Bertie!

The current Cotswold Hills Captain, Stewart Logan, welcomed everyone to the club just before a short presentation of prizes by Sam, our Captain. Stewart was asked to forward the donation to Cotswold Hills GC on behalf of The Gloucestershire Golf Captains and also to pass on our thanks to The Members for accomodating the event and also to Richard & CH Management, Tom & Bar Staff, Janet & Catering Staff and last but not least The Greenstaff for their professionalism.
