Holiday Cup at Minchinhampton GC on Thursday 27th July 2023.

146 Captains and Guests turned out to compete for the 2023 Holiday Cup.

The course was in excellent condition, the persistent rain seen the day before had abated and it was a pleasure to play in some warm but overcast weather.

The hospitality was excellent and GGC Captain, Geoff Lowe, passed on our thanks to the Minchinhampton Members for accomodating the event, The Greenstaff for the presentation of the course and to The Bar & Catering staff for looking after us throughout the day.

Captain Geoff also thanked the dignataries from the visiting counties for coming to Michinhampton and helping us celebrate our 70th Anniversary. We received lots of positive feedback from those attending.

Thanks to Chris Page and Paul Wilson (Minchinhampton members) who manned the 1st Tee as starters and ensured that we were all dispatched on time; to Shaun Pearce for his help with the Junior Golf Fund raffle and to Dereck Buttler, Paul Mason and Clive Reynolds for taking care of the scorecard returns.

A special thanks to Jeanette Pearce and Hilary Ford for setting up the Halfway House and providing everyone with a welcome drink and snack and a short chat of course!
