John Edward Cox

We received the sad news that John passed away on the 15th April 2021.

John's service was held in St. George's Church, Upper Cam on 10th May.

We send our deepest sympathy to his wife Pat and their 2 sons Nicholas and Andy.

Colin Cherry - Lydney Golf Club Captain 2015

After a long battle against cancer Colin passed away at Cheltenham hospital on Tuesday 29th June, aged 74.

Colin was a good member and as well as Club Captain held the positions of Seniors' Captain, Club House Chairman and Seniors' Secretary at Lydney GC over the past years.

Colin's cremation was held on Thursday 15th July, at 3.30pm, Yew Tree Brake Crematorium, Cinderford.

We send our deepest sympathy to his two daughters Helen & Catherine.

It was with great sadness, John aged 62, passed away at 5.30pm on Monday 2nd August at Cheltenham Hospital after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma cancer.

John was a hard working and loyal member of Lydney G C over the past years and will be sorely missed.

We send our deepest sympathy to his wife Ruth and their family.

A service of Celebration for John’s life took place on Tuesday 24th August at 1.30pm, at Forest of Dean Crematorium.

Bob Crockford (1935 - 2021) - Broadway Golf Club Captain 1996

We heard, with great sadness, that Bob passed away in the early hours of Friday 6th August at the Gloucester Royal Hospital.
Bob had been a member of the club for 51 years and had held the positions of Club Captain in 1996 and then
Club President in 2012 - 2014. He was also Captain of Gloucestershire Golf Captains in 2012.

Stan Pearce

We received the sad news that Stan passed away peacefully at 9.00am on Monday 13th September.
We send our deepest sympathy to his son Shaun, brother Chris and the rest of Stan's family.
Stan's funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, Wotton under Edge, (GL12 8RS) on Thursday 30th September at 12 noon followed by Family burial and refreshments / sharing stories at The Masonic Hall, Venns Acre off Symn Lane Wotton (GL12 7BE).
It would be appreciated if any Golf Captains attending the service could wear their club blazers to form a Guard of Honour outside of the church.
